Aw...and big news!

So this dress looks cute on the hanger, but I love love love it on Ella! She wore it to a party last weekend with a lot of positive comments from people who don't know that I sew. Was great to get the feedback because I plan on making this dress into tops to sell.

Aw....

Another pair of Oliver+s PJ's. I love this flannelette, it's Robert Kaufman and so soft.

Our big news. We have sold our house, and bought another! So in less than two months it will be good-bye to Canberra and hello again to Melbourne. We'll be living quite close to my family, and will be only one day's drive from Dave's family where we are currently two day's drive. Our new house is in a quiet court location with a reserve and playground in the middle of the court (how excited will the kids be!), and it has a big yard. It's four bed, ensuite and good sized living areas. We were so lucky to get the first house we put an offer on! I also love that it's walking distance to both local shops and a major shopping centre.

Audrey Dress

I am so in love with this fabric, and the Audrey Dress is so simple to make. No buttons or zips, it just ties at the shoulders. I've made a size two which should last Miss Gulli for a good couple of summers. My model is asleep now, so will have to get her to try it on tomorrow.

Lol Lol at 10 months and finally crawling on all fours, after caterpiller crawling for the past 6 months. Now that he has found his knees, he is super fast and very inquisitive.

Gulli's hair before her haircut...

Gulli's hair after... Unfortunately it does look like the ringlets are gone, but there is still a soft curl which is very sweet.

Gulli has started to sing her favourite songs, including "Crinkle, crinkle little star", "headshoulerkneetoes", and "Bee bee bumba bee". With Bee bee we all tap our knees in time with the words, and Lol Lol has taken to tapping along with us. He has also started to wave, so cute!

It's taken me a while to get this fabric onto my blog, but finally here it is. My order from the US.

These are stretch knits...

And cords...

Another gorgeous model!

Kimono PJ's

Gulli's firsts pair of Oliver & S Bedtime Story Pajamas are completed. I love this pattern, and the PJs seem so snuggly and warm for winter, and the Kimono style means I don't have to attempt a collar yet!

The hearts fabric is flannelette, and the stripy trim is a quilters cotton. After reading my sewing machines book, I've discovered an overlock stitch, so have used that to finish off the seams.

I have fabric to make one more pair for Gulli, and two pairs for Lol Lol. Hopefully they will be quicker to make now that I won't need to read every instruction five times to work out exactly what to do!
