It's time for PJ's!

The nights are getting cooler so it's time for some nice cuddly winter PJ's for Billy.

The first pair of PJ's are a size 3 (the smallest size that the pattern comes in) and I think they will have to be put away for next year. I absolutely love the puppy dog material, and have extended the arms with dark green to make them into warm winter PJ's.

Good old trusty Oliver+s Kimono style PJ's. Ella already has two pairs of this design and I just love it. This material is flannelette and has planes and helicopters on it, the trim is quilters cotton. They are a size 2, so hopefully he'll get a couple of years out of them! I have some frog material ready to make another pair soon also.

My cheeky monkey model!

Ooh, pretty fabric!

Lol Lol at 13 months :)

I have been so busy with my market sewing recently that I have had little time for more "fun" sewing. Now that I am pretty much ready for my first market (on Sunday) I thought it was about time to feel inspired again. I bought three dress PDF patterns last night (one is on back order!) and two shorts/pants and top pattern along with the following fabric this morning.

The two fabrics below will be the "Little Mod Dress" (picture further down). The fabric on the left is for the body and the cats on the right are for the yoke.

These next two will become "Raglan Shift Dresses" (with short cap sleeves, not the long sleeves pictured) for Miss Gulli because every little lady needs more dresses than she has time to wear!

How sweet are the birds!

A couple of patterns happened to "fall" into my possession too... I am really looking forward to trying the shorts pattern on the Oliver+s one.

Lol Lol at 10 months and finally crawling on all fours, after caterpiller crawling for the past 6 months. Now that he has found his knees, he is super fast and very inquisitive.

Gulli's hair before her haircut...

Gulli's hair after... Unfortunately it does look like the ringlets are gone, but there is still a soft curl which is very sweet.

Gulli has started to sing her favourite songs, including "Crinkle, crinkle little star", "headshoulerkneetoes", and "Bee bee bumba bee". With Bee bee we all tap our knees in time with the words, and Lol Lol has taken to tapping along with us. He has also started to wave, so cute!

It's taken me a while to get this fabric onto my blog, but finally here it is. My order from the US.

These are stretch knits...

And cords...

It's all about Lol Lol

My little boy is growing! He can now reach to play the piano without any help. Whilst it is so lovely to watch, it does make it a little more of a challenge when I sit down to play! Hmm, maybe a budding pianist in the making...?

Lol Lol has been on solids for a while now, but Gulli decided she needed to show us how it was done. She was really gentle with the spoon (mostly!) and Lol Lol took the food from her better than he takes it from us!

Overalls

I started Lol Lol's overalls on the weekend, and after a trip to the fabric shop this morning, they are now finished. Okay, so they're not perfect, but I have only been sewing for three weeks, and today is the first time I have ever done a button hole! There are two sets of buttons so that as Lol Lol grows the straps can be extended. The leg cuffs will also be turned up until he grows taller.

I am happy with the outcome.

And with the leg cuffs turned up:

What a gorgeous model!
